Someone told me that Oscar Wilde quote when I was in my 20′s, and it never left me. Of all the motivational lines regarding failure and success that I have come across in my life, not one has spoken to me quite like that one. Maybe it’s the fact that no where do you read the word ‘failure,’ which I believe has a negative stigma attached to it, and maybe it’s the fact that this particular line provokes thought. It doesn’t actually say anything about falling short, but instead assumes that none of us want to be a shell. For the most part, we all want to get out and live a little, and we all know that we’re probably going to stumble once or twice along the way.
